Hi and thank you for visiting my travel blog!
I’m Vytene, a travel blogger originally from Lithuania now based in the UK.
I am a busy professional, so my travelling is tied to my holiday schedule, i.e. a week here, a week there, mostly spent in European countries, where I can practise the languages I am learning at the moment or learned in the past.
I have always liked travelling locally, discovering gems hidden right under my nose…. so in this blog I shall be exploring UK places of interest – all visited at the weekends or free afternoons. I really hope to inspire you to travel locally – you don’t have to go far to relax and have the time of your life!
I am passionate about learning foreign languages, I am an EFL teacher, interpreter, translator, so to me experiencing the language of the country is as important as seeing all the beautiful sites and sampling gorgeous food!
I love reading stories of people travelling to all the amazing countries around the globe, BUT I don’t like travelling far, so most likely you won’t see me on a plane heading to some far flung destination any time soon…. But who knows what the future can bring…..
